Tommie men's basketball team opens play Friday in a four-team NCAA regional tourney in Whitewater, Wis.
In Friday's first round, St. Thomas and Augustana play at 5:30 p.m., while Northwestern and host UW-Whitewater play at 7:30 p.m.
Friday's winners play on Saturday at 7 p.m. for the right to advance to the Sweet 16.

The Tommies are in the national playoffs for the ninth year in a row, and 15th all time, all in the last 25 years. Their program has a 53-28 postseason record over the last 25 years, including an NCAA playoff record of 23-16. That includes 14 NCAA playoff wins in the last five seasons, led by the 2011 national title and a Final Four trip in 2013.
UST (22-5) won the conference with an 18-2 record. They split two playoff games last week, losing at home 63-53 on Sunday to St. Olaf.
Augustana (19-7), Northwestern (16-11) and Whitewater (23-4) round out this weekend's field.
