Taylor Montero scored 14 points and the No. 14-ranked Tommie men received points from 15 different players in Monday night's 89-53 road win at Hamline.
St. Thomas (16-3 overall, 13-1 MIAC) became the first men's team to secure a spot in the six-team MIAC playoffs. It's UST's 15th consecutive conference playoff trip and league-best 27th time qualifying in the 30-year history of the format.
The Toms extended their lead to one game over idle St. Olaf atop the MIAC standings with six games to play.
UST shot 55 percent from the floor and had a 36-13 rebounding advantage. Seven different Toms sank at least one 3-pointer. Zach Riedeman added 10 points and four steals.
The Toms play at home Wednesday against Bethel.
