W. Tennis starts MIAC with victory

The Tommie women's tennis team opened its 2013 MIAC season with Saturday's 7-2 win over Bethel at the U of M's Baseline Center.

Shelby Henderson, Bridget Noack and Kara Lefsrud swept their doubles and singles matches for the Tommies (3-0 overall, 1-0 MIAC).

UST is home Tuesday to face Northwestern College (5:30 p.m.).
