Clarke's Mirek Baran scored two goals in a six-minute stretch midway through the second half to hand the host Tommie men a 2-0 defeat Friday at UST's South Field. It was the season-opening game for both teams.
UST had a 9-2 edge in corner kicks but were unable to convert any into a goal.
The Toms play Monday at Northwestern in a 4 p.m. game in Roseville.
