First-place St. Thomas punched out 22 hits and 22 runs in Saturday's 12-1 and 10-1 sweep of Concordia-Moorhead in five-inning softball games Saturday in Moorhead.
The Tommies (19-5 overall, 6-0 MIAC) have won 17 of their last 18 games. Coach John Tschida's team has won 14 in a row against conference opponents dating back to April 2009.
Senior All-American Alison Wright went 4-for-5 on the day and moved into second place on the MIAC career hits list with 231.
Kayla Boward had three hits and five RBI and Becky Eichens and Megan Noskowiak each had three hits.
Marta Radcliffe got both pitching victories with strong showings in each game. In six innings total on the day she allowed no runs, no hits and just two walks with eight strikeouts, and UST played error free defense. She also hit a solo homer in game two.
St. Thomas plays home MIAC doubleheaders this Tuesday (St. Mary's), Wednesday (Hamline) and Saturday St. Catherine).
