Volleyball tops Cobbers, gets 33rd MIAC win row

No. 6-ranked St. Thomas pulled out a 3-1 win over No. 17-rated Concordia in MIAC volleyball play Saturday in Moorhead. UST won 25-18, 20-25, 25-15, 25-23.
The Tommies (12-2 overall, 3-0 MIAC) remain in a share of the conference lead. They ran their MIAC winning streak to 33. The Cobbers (6-4, 2-1) were the last MIAC team to beat St. Thomas, back in November 2007 in the playoff finals.
St. Thomas reamans in a tie for first place in the conference in football (2-0), women's soccer (4-0) and volleyball (3-0) as they won Saturday road contests in all three sports.
Kyley Crotty had 14 kills and 13 digs; Emily Foster had 42 assists and 14 digs; Tori Jones had 11 kills; Jill Osborne and Katie Bonine each posted eight kills; Kaitlin Wachter has 24 digs; and Molly Staton had 14 digs.
UST is home Wednesday to play Bethel. That match starts at 7:30 p.m. two miles east of campus at Concordia University.
