Volleyball wins twice, now 6-0 on season

The No. 7-ranked Tommie volleyball team scored a pair of three-set victories Friday in day one of the Augsburg Invitational. St. Thomas moved to 6-0 on the season as it defeated Lawrence (Wis.) , 25-11, 25-16, 25-12, and topped Augsburg 25-19, 25-10, 25-17.
In the Lawrence win, freshman Kaitlin Wachter had 24 digs; Jill Osborne had eight kills; Katie Bonine had eight digs and two aces; and Emily Foster had 26 assists. Against Augsburg, Bonine had six aces, eight kills and eight digs; Kyley Crotty had six kills and 11 digs; Wachter had 18 digs; and Foster had 26 assists.
St. Thomas plays UW-Stevens Point Saturday at 9 a.m., and with a win will play in the 3 p.m. title match.
