St. Thomas had its softball season end Saturday with a 2-1 loss to Luther in an elimination game at the NCAA regional tounament in Indianola, Iowa.
The Tommies (40-6) scored their lone run in the first inning but allowed a two-run homer in the fourth inning. Kaitlyn Wightman and Steph Moores each had two hits to lead a six-hit UST attack.
UST had the tying run aboard to lead off the home half of the seventh inning as Becky Eischens was hit by a pitch, but Luther got three outs to seal the victory.
