Two Division III national baseball polls were released today, with St. Thomas moving up in one and dropping a bit in the other.
In the coaches' ABCA poll that comes out every two weeks, the 21-6 Tommies moved up from No. 11 to No. 7. In the D3baseball.com poll released each Tuesday, UST slipped from No. 13 to No. 15.
The Tommies went 3-1 last week, all games decided by two runs. The Toms' six losses have come by a combined nine runs.
In their chase for an unprecedented MIAC championship, the Tommies are 10-2 with a two-game lead in the conference race with four doubleheaders. UST plays today against Hamline at Midway Stadium (2:30 p.m. doubleheader), play Saturday at Carleton (1 p.m. doubleheader) and April 28 at St. Mary's (2:30 p.m. doubleheader).
