Volleyball wins 3-0 at Hamline, extends MIAC lead

No. 10-ranked St. Thomas hit .373 and cruised to a 3-0 win over host Hamline in Friday's MIAC volleyball match on the Pipers' floor.
The Tommies (17-4 overall, 8-0 mIAC) opened a 1 1-2 game lead atop the conference standings and pushed their MIAC win streak to 36. Hamline (10-10, 0-5) hit just .092.
For UST, Kyley Crotty had 10 kills and nine digs; Jill Osborne had 10 kills; Emily Foster had 39 assists; Kaitlin Wachter had 21 digs; and Tori Jones had eight kills.
The Toms are home next Wednesday to play No. 16-ranked St. Ben's. That 7:30 p.m. match will be played at Concordia University's Gangelhoff Center.
St. Thomas is now 17-1 this fall in MIAC competition in volleyball, football and soccer.
