Senior Maria Bye went 4-for-5 on the day with five RBi and two walks and earned her 81st career pitching win as the No. 4-ranked St. Thomas softball team ran its MIAC unbeaten streak to 52 with Monday's 8-0, 11-3 victories over host Bethel.

Game one was halted after five innings and game two was halted after six innings.

St. Thomas (35-3 overall, 20-0 MIAC) became the first softball team to win five consecutive outright conference championships. It's the eighth time in the last nine seasons UST has won or shared the MIAC crown.

Bye hit her 35th career home run in the nightcap and drove in five runs. She now leads the conference in batting at .617 (29-of-43) in 20 MIAC games. She also worked four shutout innings in game one and allowed three hits, three walks and had eight strikeouts. Bye is now 81-8 on her career (41-1 vs. MIAC foes).

Marta Radcliffe received the pitching win in game two as she pitched four shutout innings. Bix Sitzmann pitched two innings and allowed three unearned runs.

Morgan Betker had four hits on the day, while Olivia Graham homered in game one and joined Alison Wright with three hits.

The Tommies finish their regular season Tuesday with a 4 p.m. doubleheader at St. Mary's, and will be the No. 1 seed at the double-elimination MIAC playoffs which start Friday in Mounds View.
