First-place Gusties top Toms in Women's Tennis

The St. Thomas women's tennis team dropped an 8-1 decision to first-place Gustavus Sunday in St. Peter to close the regular season 9-1 in the conference and 16-3 overall. UST lost just 8-5 at both first and second doubles.
Ali Bruflodt won at second singles due to an injury default. She lost 6-1 in the first set but led 4-3 in the second set when the match was halted.
Dana Vilar lost in straight sets at third singles to have her singles win streak end at 38 matches over the last three seasons.
The Toms will compete in the MIAC tournament next weekend in St. Peter.
