Softball sweeps St. Olaf; MIAC win streak to 42

The No. 5-ranked Tommie softball team outhit St. Olaf 23-8 on the day as it recorded a 9-2, 7-1 sweep in conference play Friday in the Rosemount Dome.
St. Thomas (25-3 overall, 10-0 MIAC) ran its conference winning streak to 42 games and also has won its last 23 games played in the Rosemount Dome. The Toms are chasing their own conference record 44-game winning streak built from 2003-2006.
Maria Bye allowed no earned runs and four hits in eight innings inj both starts on the day. Marta Radcliffe allowed no hits in 4 1-3 innings of relief in both games. Radcliffe struck out eight of the 16 batters she faced on the day.
Alison Wright had five hits on the day. Olivia Graham and Steph Moores each hit home runs, and Colleen Owen had two RBI doubles in game two. Bye had three hits and a walk on the day.
