Men's Hoops gets 17-point win at Hamline

Joe Scott had 26 points and Al McCoy chipped in 14 points off the bench as the visiting Tommies scored a 92-75 win at Hamline in MIAC men's basketball play Wednesday night on the HU floor.
UST (15-3 overall, 11-2 MIAC) stayed one game ahead of Gustavus in the MIAC race. The Toms closed 8-1 in January and have now won nine of their last 10 games.
UST shot 58% from the field and also made 20-of-22 free throws. The Toms led by nine at halftime and pulled away in the second half to complete a season sweep of the Pipers.
Lonnie Robinson scored 13 points, Tyler Nicolai had 11 points, David Baker scored eight points, and B.J. Viau had six points and five assists.
St. Thomas plays Saturday at Carleton (3 p.m.).
