St. Olaf (W), January 26, 2008

Freshman guard Jamie Erdahl had 20 points to help the visiting Oles (6-10, 5-8) hold off the first-place Tommies (11-5, 10-3) in MIAC women's baslketball Saturday at UST's Schoenecker Arena.

Erdahl had all 10 points in a 10-0 run that put the Oles ahead to stay at 35-30. UST pulled within two pooints twice in the second half but never got the tying or go-ahead points.

Carrie Embree scored 18 points and Jessica Katch had 14 points, seven rebounds, five steals and six assists for the Tommies, who had their 10-game home win streak halted. UST was outrebounded 46-37 and shot only 34% from the field.

The Toms drop into a share of the MIAC lead with St. Benedict at 10-3.

The Tommies played three games last week without injured guard Sheena Porter-Wrzos and went 1-2 after a 6-0 start to January.

The Toms are home Wednesday to face Hamline.
