Volleyball stays hot, runs win streak to seven

No. 9-ranked St. Thomas ran its volleyball winning streakto seven with Wednesday night's three-game victory at St. Olaf. Kyley Crotty and Kristin Storrs each had 10 kills as the Tommies won 30-15, 30-23, 30-22 in the 2007 MIAC opener for both teams.
Senior Aly McConnell had five aces and 13 digs and freshman Emily Foster had 31 assists for the Tommies (7-2 overall, 1-0 MIAC), who hit .255. Junior Katie McCaffrey added five blocks and six kills.
The Toms play two nationally-ranked teams in their four matches at the Friday-Saturday UW-LaCrosse Invite. On Friday they play No. 6-rated Carthage (8-0), and on Saturday they face No. 24-ranked LaCrosse (8-0).
