Women's Hockey wins 3-1 vs. Augs

Rachel Zilles, Jackie Carroll and Marie Omann had goals and the host Tommies (6-1 overall, 4-1 MIAC) had a 40-20 advantage in shots in Friday's 3-1 MIAC women's hockey win over the Auggies (1-8, 1-4).
The Toms, who built a 3-0 lead, improved to 4-0 at home this season. Sophomore Lauren Bradel stopped 19 shots to move to 5-1 on the season. Ashley Reinhardt chipped in two assists.
Zilles' short-handed goal at 4:46 of the first period made it 1-0. Carroll added a power-play goal midway through the second, and Omann scored at 17:41 of the second for a 3-0 lead.
Jackie Keller scored the Auggie goal early in period three.
The teams play again Saturday night on the Auggie campus in Minneapolis.
