Women's Hockey gets 7-2 win over Wildcats

Freshman Kelley Fallen scored two goals and junior Jackie Carroll had a goal and three assists to lead the host Tommies (4-1 overall, 2-1 MIAC) over the visiting Wildcats (1-4-1, 0-3) in MIAC women's hockey play Friday night in Mendota Heights.
UST scored two goals in a 15-second span late in the second period to take a 5-1 lead. They added two more in 2:21 span of the third for a 7-1 lead.
Freshman Kristen Elliott of Eden Prairie made her collegiate debut and stopped 17 of 19 shots for the Tommies, who outshot CSC 44-19. Ashley Reinhardt had a goal and two assists and Katie Carrico had three assists.
Freshman Michaela Michaelson scored twice for St. Catherine, including a short-handed goal with 2:00 to play.
The teams play again Saturday night at the University of Minnesota's Ridder Arena.
