Men's Soccer still unbeaten in MIAC

Senior Thomas Gjervold had two goals and added an assist to lead the St. Thomas men's soccer team to Saturday's 6-1 home win over Concordia-Moorhead.

Gjervold leads the MIAC in scoring with 15 points (six goals, three assists) oin six games.

The Tommies (9-3-2 overall, 4-0-2 MIAC) scored a season-high six goals. Coach Aaron Macke's team remained unbeaten in the conference and ran its unbeaten streak to five. UST is 6-1-2 in its last nine games.

Senior Dan Hutton was in goal the first 77 minutes and made eight saves. Hutton has allowed just two goals in his last 447:30 in net. The lone Cobber goal came on a penalty kick in the 86th minute.

Jon Stillwell had a goal and two assists. Max Weber, Taylor Lynch and Henry Nwadula added goals for St. Thomas.

The Tommies are off until next Saturday when they play at St. Olaf (2 p.m.).
