Women's Soccer misses upset, 2-1

Nationally-ranked UW-Eau Claire scored in the 87th minute to take a 2-1 victory over visiting St. Thomas in non-conference women's soccer play Sunday in Eau Claire.
UST (9-6-1) took a 1-0 lead as Stephanie Paasch scored in the 59th minute off a corner kick. But the Blugolds (14-1-2) scored in the 64th minute and again late for the victory.
Eau Claire, now 7-0 this season vs. MIAC teams, outshot the Tommies 28-5.
Amanda Domeier was in goal all 90 minutes and had 10 saves for the Tommies, who are now 4-1 this season vs. Wisconsin state university teams. Alison True had her team-best eighth assist of the season.
St. Thomas plays Wednesday at St. Mary's.
