St. Thomas lost a five-game decision to host UW-Oshkosh Saturday in a battle of top-11 ranked teams. The 11th-ranked Titans (12-2) edged No. 4 rated UST, 30-28, 20-30, 30-25, 24-30, 15-11.
Earlier Saturday, UST topped No. 9-ranked UW-Whitewater (12-2) in four games, 30-28, 30-17, 28-30, 30-19.
Whitewater beat Oshkosh in five games earlier in the day and joined St. Thomas with 3-1 records in the two-day tournament.
On Friday, the Tommies scored three-game triumphs over both Elmhurst (Ill.) (30-15, 30-18, 30-25) and Lakeland (Wis.) (30-21, 30-19, 30-20).
UST (11-2) resumes conference play Wednesday when it visits St. Ben's.
