Women's Hockey gets 7-0 win over Amherst

Senior Tanaya Reitz scored three goals and one assist to lead No. 5-ranked St. Thomas (10-0) to a 7-0 road victory at Amherst (Mass.) (4-7) in non-conference women's hockey play Saturday night.
UST senior Becky Kilpatrick stopped all 15 shots she faced for the shutout. St. Thomas outshot the Jeffs 46-15 and avenged a 2-2 tie with Amherst incurred on home ice in January 2005.
Reitz and freshman Katie Jaeger each scored a short-handed goal. Senior Maureen Hardwick added two goals, soph Ashley Reinhardt scored one goal, junior Allison Turgeon had three assists, and freshman Jackie Carroll added two assists.
The Toms continue their east-coast trip Sunday night at Williams (Mass.), then face No. 1-ranked Middlebury (Vt.) Tuesday night.
