Women's Soccer rolls to 4-1 win over Blugolds

St. Thomas scored four unanswered goals in a 40-minute mid-game stretch to post a 4-1 victory over visiting UW-Eau Claire in women's soccer play Wednesday on the Tommies' field in St. Paul.
Soph Sarah Balgord scored her third and four goals of the season for the Tommies (2-0) to erase a 1-0 UWEC lead. Katie O'Brien and Christine Williams scored in the first 15 minutes of the second half to push the lead to three goals.
Freshman Baylee Reagan had nine saves in her first career start in goal for UST.
Marcia Foltz scored in the 14th minute for Eau Claire (1-2).
The Tommies play Saturday at UW-LaCrosse (2 p.m.) and open their MIAC season Sept. 14 at home vs. Carleton.
