Women's Soccer gets 1-0 win at Eau Claire

Maggie Curran scored in the 21st minute and it stood up as the game's only goal as St. Thomas topped host UW-Eau Claire 1-0 in non-conference women's soccer play Saturday.
The Tommies, who lost two 3-2 matches last weekend, climbed to 1-2 on the season. Eau Claire (2-2), which was coming off a 5-2 win over St. Olaf, outshot the Toms 10-8.
Jessica Chistopherson played the first half in goal for UST and had one save. Freshman Rachel Lindor played the last 45 minutes in goal and had five saves.
The Tommies host UW-Stout Tuesday (4 p.m.) then travel to Bloomington, ill., next weekend to face Illinois Wesleyan and Washington (Mo.).
