Rev. Stan Martinka graduated from the University of St. Thomas with a BA in 1950, then with an MA in 1953. He held the St. Thomas discus record from 1950-1976. He was a member of two MIAC track champion teams (1949, 1950) and placed sixth nationally in discus in 1950.
