Shara Guidry won the NCAA discus title as a junior in 2007 (145-11). As a senior she won MIAC titles in shot put and discus and took second in hammer, named MIAC Most Outstanding Field Athlete. She broke school records as a senior in shot put and discus that were on the books for 20 years, still holds two outdoor and one indoor school record. She was also a Tommie varsity basketball player for three seasons.
