Roger Zeug graduated from the University of St. Thomas with a BA in 1964. As a student, Zeug was twice a MIAC champion in the 177-pound weight class (1962, 1963). He was named All-State in the 167-pound weight class in 1964, and that same year was an NAIA national runner up.
