Lisa Koelfgen-Faust graduated from the University of St. Thomas with a BA in 1987, then with an MA in 1997. Koelfgen-Faust was the University's first five-time NCAA Champion, and was a four-time national chamion in 1500 meters (1985, 1986 indoor/outdoor). Koelfgen-Faust was the 1986 national champion in cross country, leading the Tommies to an NCAA title. She held the outdoor 1,500 school record for 24 seasons, and led the Tommies to win all six MIAC team titles during her era.
