Dick Furey

Dick Furey graduated from the University of St. Thomas with a BA in 1946, then with an MA in 1995. Furey was a three-time All-State center in basketball and graduated as the St. Thomas all-time leading scorer (674 points over three seasons). He was the first Tommie to be drafted into the NBA, being drafted by the Providence Steam Rollers in 1947.
