Kaylee Hentges joined St. Thomas as the Assistant Director of Compliance in March 2022.
Before St. Thomas, Hentges spent two years as a graduate assistant for compliance at Southwest Minnesota State University (SMSU). There, she assisted with financial aid, created NLI documentation, tracked CARA hours, completed NCAA waivers and reports, and tracked student-athlete eligibility and academic status. In addition, she coordinated SAAC meetings and events and facilitated in-game promotions and activities from football. In 2021, she helped plan the Gold Rush Raffle, SMSU's largest fundraiser, raising $80,000 towards student-athlete scholarships. Hentges received her bachelor's degree in sports management with minors in marketing and coaching from SMSU in May 2020. Hentges received her master's degree in sports leadership from SMSU in May 2022.
In 2019, Hentges spent the summer as an intern at the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC). She assisted with event planning, updating data and daily administrative tasks. Hentges spent her senior year as a volunteer student assistant for compliance monitoring NCAA applications, planning SAAC events, and completing eligibility checklists and competition reports.
At SMSU, Hentges was a softball student-athlete, receiving All-NSIC Academic Team honors from 2018-21. In addition, she was a SAAC member from 2019-21.
