Jon Haugen joined the St. Thomas athletics staff prior to the 2021 season as the Director of Strength and Conditioning. He was promoted to Assistant Athletic Director of Strength and Conditioning in June 2024.
Haugen comes to St. Thomas from IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fla., where he served as Head of Strength and Conditioning. In his role at IMG, he oversaw a pair of 10,000 square-foot weight rooms, a strength and conditioning staff of 21 coaches, and the training of 1,200-plus students. In addition, Jon was a member of a sports performance team that included Sports Science, Athletic Training, Sports Nutrition, and Mental Conditioning.
Prior to his time at IMG, he served for seven seasons as Assistant Athletic Director for Athletic Performance at William Penn University.
