Jason Ellenbecker joined the St. Thomas Athletic Training staff in October 2023. He serves as a Certified Athletic Trainer working primarily with baseball, football and swimming & diving.
Ellenbecker most recently served as Clinical Assistant to Dr. Jeremiah Johnson at Twin Cities Orthopedics where he assisted both in clinic and in the operating room. Prior to his clinical position, Ellenbecker was the head athletic trainer with the St. Paul Saints from 2014 until 2021 and served in the same position at Hamline University from 2006 until 2014. He spent two years as an assistant athletic trainer with the Minnesota Vikings from 2004 until 2006.
Ellenbecker graduated with his Bachelor of Science degree in Athletic Training from University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point in 2004 before attaining his Master of Business Administration from Hamline University in 2014. Two years later, Ellenbecker earned his certificate in healthcare compliance from Hamline University School of Law.
Ellenbecker currently resides in Hudson, Wis., with his wife Jill, Son Isaac and daughter Lilia.
