Alli Altmann is entering her first season with the St. Thomas Women's Hockey program after joining the staff as an assistant and goaltending coach in August of 2025.
Altmann is also the Co-Owner and Vice President of Devenir Goaltenders, a premier goaltending development company in Minnesota that she has operated since 2013, dedicated to training and mentoring goaltenders of all ages and skill levels.
In addition to her work at St. Thomas, Altmann serves as the Goaltending Coach for the U.S. Women’s National Team, where she is part of the staff preparing for the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milano, Italy. Since joining the National Team program in August 2021, she has helped guide the United States to gold medals at the 2025 and 2023 IIHF Women’s World Championships, as well as silver medals in 2021, 2022, and 2024.
From 2017 to 2022, Altmann served as the Goaltending Coach for the U.S. Under-18 Women’s National Team, helping lead the team to two gold medals (2020, 2018) and two silver medals (2022, 2019). She also contributed to the U.S. Women’s National Festival as a coach from 2016 through 2021.
As a player, Altmann was a standout goaltender at Minnesota State University, where she played four seasons and recorded a career .901 save percentage. She remains the program’s all-time leader in games played (110) and was a three-time WCHA All-Academic honoree. Altmann helped lead the Mavericks to their first-ever WCHA Final Faceoff appearance in 2009.
