The medical staff will function under the guidelines of their individual license and the laws governing the practice in their area of specialty. Confidentiality is a corner stone of treating mental health and private health information will be treated in compliance of all professional standards as defined by each providers individual licenses. The athletic training staff will follow the same confidentiality guidelines as their sponsoring physician and as indicated on the Minnesota state licensure protocol. The athletic training staff will coordinate mental health services and referrals to the appropriate resources in order to maximize either on campus or off campus resources to address the mental health concerns. Each athlete’s care will be governed by the guidelines and protocols out lined in our mental health policy.
