JOHNNY TAUER'S ANNUAL CHAMPIONSHIP BASKETBALL CAMP
Camps are back for Summer 2022 and year 27 for Coach Johnny Tauer. Camp details and registration can be found at johntauer.com/bball. University of St. Thomas head men's basketball coach and psychology professor, Dr. Johnny Tauer, holds his youth basketball camps at the St. Paul campus. Tauer has directed one of the longest running basketball camps in the Twin Cities, and in the state of Minnesota. This year's basketball camps will be limited to full-day, commuter camps, running 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. Emphasis is placed on skill development, goal-setting, motivation, and teamwork.
Tauer has been associated with Minnesota basketball for 30 years, playing high school and collegiately for Cretin-Derham Hall (St. Paul, Minn.) and the University of St. Thomas (St. Paul, Minn.). After earning his Ph.D. in social/sport psychology at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Tauer returned to Minnesota in 2000. He lives in St. Paul and has conducted basketball camps for the past 26 summers. Tauer also speaks across the Twin Cities on topics ranging from motivation to psychology to basketball.
