University of St. Thomas Athletics
South Soccer Field
Part of the South Field sports complex, the St. Thomas soccer stadium is located on the University's South Campus, providing easy access and parking for all home games. Home to Tommie men's and women's soccer, South Field was recently renovated in 2013, including new Field Turf, bleachers, and scoreboard.
The newly constructed bleachers on the west side of the field provide ample space for seating and viewing, leading to lively, competitive matches. On top of the bleacher structure sits a platform dedicated to filming and broadcasting. Across the field, both team benches are covered with shelters, and feature ample warm up space.
Home Field Advantage
The move from natural grass to turf has been an advantageous one for Tommie soccer. Since the renovation in 2013, the men's and women's soccer programs have combined to win 120 games in 12 seasons. The women have amassed a record of 64-20-18, including back-to-back unbeaten seasons at home in 2018 (10-0-0) and 2019 (10-0-2). The men dropped just five games at home over its final five seasons of DIII play and have accumulated a record of 61-28-15 at South Field.
Together, the two programs have hoisted MIAC Conference Championship trophies 10 times over its final seven seasons in the conference. The Tommie men captured a pair of regular season titles and playoff titles each. The women, on the other hand have had a hand in four regular season titles and brought home the playoff crown twice.
