Tommie women's basketball announces Summit League schedule

St. Thomas to play 16 conference games starting January 2
SIOUX FALLS, S.D. -- The University of St. Thomas women's basketball team is gearing up for another big season in 2024-25. With the season seemingly just around the corner, the Tommies and the Summit League announced their 2024-25 conference schedule Wednesday afternoon.
St. Thomas will play 16 Summit League games throughout 2024-25 and will open the conference schedule by hosting Kansas City on January 2 and North Dakota State on January 4. From there, it's a long stretch of road games for the Tommies, as they hit the road for South Dakota (January 8), Oral Roberts (January 16) and Omaha (January 18) before returning to Schoenecker Center to host South Dakota State and Denver January 22 and 25. St. Thomas will close the first half of the conference schedule at North Dakota on January 30.
The Tommies will square off against each Summit League opponent for a second time in February, hosting Omaha (February 5), North Dakota (February 12), South Dakota (February 22) and Oral Roberts (February 26) before closing out the season at South Dakota State on March first. St. Thomas will then head to the Summit League Championships, set to take place March 5-9 at the Danny Sanford Center in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
St. Thomas is coming off its most successful Division I season to date, setting program records for total wins (15) and Summit League (7) vicotries since making the jump in 2021. Additionally, the Tommies finished the regular season at or above .500 for the first time in the DI era and advanaced to the quarterfinal round of the Summit League Tournament for the second consecutive season. Returning starters Jade Hill (Minneapolis, Minn. / Southwest) and Amber Scalia (Stillwater, Minn. / Stillwater) both earned All-Conference honors, while Jo Langbehn (Elk River, Minn. / Elk River) led the nation in field goal percentage at the conclusion of the regular season.
