Men's Track and Field eyes weekend competition at SDSU

St. Paul, Minn. -- St. Thomas Track and Field continues its 2023 indoor season with partial squads competing Friday Feb. 10 and Saturday Feb. 11 in Brookings, S.D., at the South Dakota State Indoor Classic.
Coaches Pete Wareham and Ashley Lucas have their men's and women's teams gearing up for the Summit League Indoor Championships in two weeks at the University of South Dakota.
There are roughly 1,400 athletes representing 40 Midwest universities and colleges competing this weekend at SDSU, including the host Jackrabbits, St. Thomas, South Dakota, North Dakota, Northern Iowa, Sioux Falls, Drake, Bemidji State, and Augustana, plus several other NAIA and community college and unattached athletes.
Competition starts Friday at 4:30 p.m. with four distance events and two longer relays, and the rest of the competition starting again Saturday at 11 a.m. with field and running events.
The Toms have 47 men's performances and 32 women's indoor performances ranked in the top 25 in The Summit League.
