Women’s Hockey Inks Six on National Signing Day

Head Coach Joel Johnson announced the addition of six student athletes to the Tommie Women’s Hockey team
St. Thomas Women's Hockey Head Coach Joel Johnson announced the 2024 Tommie Signing Class.
The signing class features six student-athletes, five from Minnesota, and one from Wisconsin.
"We can't be more excited for the addition of these six amazing student athletes," Coach Johnson said. "As we continue to build our program here at St. Thomas, we are confident that these additions will not only raise the expectations on the ice, but they will also be tremendous additions to the culture and chemistry we are growing each and every day. This group has experience at the highest levels of hockey, and we are counting on their skills, experience, character, and passion to help our program reach new heights!"
Chloe Boreen (F, 5-6, Somerset, Wis./ Hill-Murray)
The right-handed forward joins the Tommies from Hill-Murray. At Hill-Murray, Boreen is a two-time All-State selection, three-time Metro East All-Conference selection, and named Metro East Conference forward of the year. Boreen was also named to the Star Tribune All-Metro Second Team. During her junior season, Boreen was a top ten goal scorer in the state of Minnesota.
Boreen is the daughter of Alicia and Chad, and has two siblings, Abigail and Brooke. Both her father and sister (Abigail) played hockey at the University of Minnesota.
Lauren Karl (D, 5-9, Minnetonka, Minn./ Shattuck St. Mary's)
Left-handed defense, Lauren Karl, joins the Tommies from Shattuck St. Mary's. Before Shattuck St. Mary's, Karl played for Minnetonka High School where she played in three state tournaments and placed second at the 2022 Minnesota State High School Hockey tournament.
Karl is the daughter of Angela and Noel, and has one sibling, Gavin.
Ilsa Lindaman (F, 5-9, Duluth, Minn./Duluth Marshall)
Lindaman joins the Tommies from Duluth, Minn. At Duluth Marshall, the left-handed forward was an All-State First Team selection and was named All-Area player of the year. Lindaman has totaled 156 points through three seasons at Duluth Marshall.
Lindaman is the daughter of Elise and Dana, and has two siblings, Oskar and Otto.
Cailin Mumm (D, 5-8, Andover, Minn./Andover)
Mumm is one of two Andover, Minn. natives joining the Tommie Women's Hockey 2024-25 freshmen class. Mumm is a two-time All-State tournament team selection and an All-Conference selection. At Andover, Mumm was named rookie of the year and unsung hero.
Mumm is the daughter of Carrie and Dan and has one sibling, Joslin. Her mother, Carrie played soccer at the University of Minnesota, and was a part of the 1992 Olympic Team in Short-Track Speedskating. Mumm plans to major in nursing at St. Thomas.
Nora Sauer (F, 5-11, Andover, Minn./ Andover)
Sauer joins the Tommies from Andover High School, where she is a four-year varsity letterwinner and team captain. Sauer is also a member of National Honor Society at Andover. At St. Thomas, Sauer plans to major in psychology with a minor in criminology.
Sauer is the daughter of Sara and Kent Sauer and has two siblings, KJ and Stanley. Sauer has multiple family members who have played collegiate and professional sports. This includes her Grandfather, Curt, who played for the Minnesota Twins. Her father, Kent played hockey for Minnesota-Duluth, and was a part of the Nashville Predators Organization.
Dani Strom (G, 5-6, Dayton, Minn./ Maple Grove)
Strom is a goaltender from Maple Grove, Minn. Strom was a part of the 2023 USA U18 National Team. At Maple Grove, she was a 2023 All-State selection and 2022 All-State honorable mention. Strom was also named Maple Grove Varsity Hockey and Softball Captain.
Strom is the daughter of Bobbi and Craig, and has two siblings, Josh and Nick. Her brother, Nick currently plays hockey at RPI.
