Gene's Blog: A number of numbers are interesting for Toms
1/10/2023 3:11:00 PM | Men's Basketball, Gene's Blog
The college fall sports season is officially in the books. On the NCAA gridiron, the Dawgs and Jackrabbits ruled FBS and FCS.
Year two of Division I play continues to provide interesting moments at St. Thomas. Tommie Football was picked for third place out of 11 in the Pioneer and took first place at 8-0. St. Thomas Men's Hoops was picked for eighth place out of 10 in the Summit League and currently sits alone in second place with a 4-2 start.
With seven weeks left in the regular seasons, Men's Basketball and Men's and Women's Hockey have already surpassed last season's victory totals.
Plus, both Tommie hockey teams are among the nation's most improved programs from last season across several metrics.
Here are some quick final numbers for Tommie football after its conference champion season, and also a look at some interesting January numbers for Tommie hoops and hockey.
