Chicago, Ill. - Tommie Women's Cross Country had some swift times on Friday on a good day for racing, taking sixth place out of 11 teams at the Loyola Lakefront Invite.
The 6,000-meter race had 89 runners, and St. Thomas put four in the top 52.
Wisconsin edged Ohio State for the team championship. Loyola took third and Western Ontario, DePaul, St. Thomas, Northwestern, San Diego, St. Louis and Alabama-Birmingham rounded out the team standings.
Sophomore Molly Desotell continued her strong season as she took 19th place in 22:05. That time was just seven second off her college best time for the CC 6K.
