Men's CC has tight lead pack, takes 14th at Bradley race

Peoria, Ill. -Tommie Men's Cross Country puts its first four runners in a 15-second pack en route to a 14th-place finish in the 35-team Red Division Friday at the Bradley Pink Classic.
Loyola (82), Wichita State (84), Grand Valley State (96) and Illinois (145 took the first four team spots.
Two Summit League teams finished ahead of St. Thomas: North Dakota State (7th, 204); North Dakota (12th, 449), while St. Thomas had a 460 score. The Toms ran without top-2 runner Biel Wiel.

Senior Morey Smith led the Purple with a 76th-place finish in a field of 289 runners. Smith closed at 24:40, one second ahead of Charlie Caven (79th in 24:41). Freshman Caden Nordberg was 84th in 24:44. Smith posted a 10-second personal best for 8K, while Nordberg had a 20-second PR.
Zach Haire took 103rd place in 24:55. Coming off an injury and making his first race in five weeks, Colton Halla clocked 25:32 for 175th place.
Other runners for the Purple were Harris Anderson (201st, 25:50); freshman Jon Roux (213th, 25:58); Tony Weeks placed 232nd in 26:13; Adam McCollor took 250th in 26:34.
