St. Thomas Men's Cross Country sent a partial squad to Saturday's Augsburg Invite in Bloomington.
Under hot and humid conditions on a course with rolling hills, St. Thomas had five freshmen close in the top 150 for 8,000 meters in a field of 330-plus runners.
- Landen Javens clocked 29:12 and placed 44th to lead St. Thomas;
- Adam Ebent placed 54th (29:21);
- Jack Osborne took 81st (29:57);
- Keegan Sansone placed 132nd (31:08);
- Jack Heun took 144th (31:21).
St. Thomas held out its top eight runners.
The Toms will have some athletes competing Monday afternoon in the Summit Cup dual meet against Macalester.
