Broke a St. Thomas season record for stolen bases (30) as a sophomore in 1995, and broke season records for home runs (15) and runs (57) as a junior... an All-American selection as a junior, he helped the baseball team to 19-1 MIAC record and 38-5 finish, one of two NCAA playoff trips... despite only playing three college seasons, he set or tied career records for steals (54) and triples (12)... selected in the MLB draft in the sixth round by the Texas Rangers in June of 1996 (173rd overall pick) and passed up his final UST season... hit nine HRs in 11 Florida games as a junior in 1996… hit .404 as a sophomore and .360 as a junior… played three seasons with the Rangers’ minor-league teams in a professional career slowed by injuries... in 1998 at Class A Savannah he hit .269 with 123 hits in 122 games including 12 home runs and 39 RBI.
