Tim Fischer graduated from the University of St. Thomas with a BA in 1984. As a student, Fischer was named All-MIAC as an offensive tackle (1982, 1983) and was the captain of the 1983 team, which played in the University's first postseason playoff game, and finished as the lone Tommie team to end the season at 9-0 in the MIAC.
