Ruth Ann Opatz Sinn graduated from the University of St. Thomas with a BA in 1984. As a student, Sinn was a two-time All-MIAC honoree (1982-83, 1983-84). She was a team captain as a senior, and helped the Tommies to a MIAC championship in her junior and senior years. She is still ranked among St. Thomas career leaders in assists, steals, and blocked shots. After her induction, Sinn has served as the St. Thomas women's head coach since 2005, and was the head coach for 18 seasons at two area high schools.
