Nick Musty Sr. coached the Tommie football team from 1937-41. He amased a 19-8-3 record, including a 15-4-3 record vs Minnesota teams. He coach the Tommies' 1939 football team that won the MIAC championship. He was also the Tommie head coach in basketball for three seasons.
