Lloyd Sandstrom graduated from the University of St. Thomas with a BA in 1951. As a basketball player, Sandstrom scored 1,175 career points during his four years as a starter. He was a member ofthe 1948-49 MIAC champion team, and was a co-captain as a senior (1950-51).
