Leonard "Bucky" Olson graduated from the University of St. Thomas with a BA in 1950, then with an MA in 1963. He was a MIAC singles champion in 1947 and 1948, and was a MIAC doubles champion in 1949. He served as a captain and player/coach in 1948 and 1949. As a coach, he led the Tommies to six consecutive MIAC titles (1954-59).
