Kelly Copps-Wood

Kelly Copps-Wood graduated from the University of St. Thomas with a BA in 1995. At St. Thomas, Copps-Wood won six NCAA Division III individual championships, which is a St. Thomas women's record. She won All-American honors 11 times, and was a three-time NCAA champion in the outdoor 10,000 meter race (1993-95). Copps-Wood was also the NCAA champion in the indoor 5,000 meter race (1994, 1995) and was a cross country national runner-up (1994). Copps-Wood was named the CoSIDA Academic All-American and received the NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship, both in 1995. She was an 11-time champion and a 5-time runner up in MIAC championship meets, and was a national finalist for NCAA Woman of the Year.
